Dewalt's First Ever Compact Cut-Off Tool

Dewalt has announced their first ever compact cordless cut-off tool; the DCS438. And it's part of the new Powerstack range!

Powerstack is Dewalt's most compact, most powerful and lightest weight battery to date. This system provides up to 50% more power in a 25% more compact form and 15% lighter weight. These batteries are a part of the existing 18V XR range, therefore are 100% compatible with all existing 18V XR models.

Find out everything you need to know about Dewalt's Powerstack Batteries in our blog.

In this Toolstop guide, we review the brand new DCS438 cut off tool from Dewalt's Powerstack range and tell you everything there is to know.

Features of the DCS438 Cut Off Tool

The DCS438 is Dewalt's first ever tool of its kind.

It has a 75mm diameter, offering up to a 22mm max depth of cut (the best in class) and is designed to cut a materials such as metal, drywall, plastic, tile and stone. Though small, it packs a punch! Its 550W motor is capable of producing up to 20,000rpm.

And that's not all! Forward and reverse blade direction allows for quick and simple changes whilst allowing the user to divert sparks when working in confined areas; Dewalt have really thought of it all. It has a compact yet powerful brushless motor which provides class leading performance and improved efficiency.

The blade LED illuminates the workpiece ensuring greater visibility of cut and the tool free adjustable dust guard removes harmful dust and debris from the atmosphere to provide a safe and healthy working environment. The guard is also equipped with a depth guage for accurate depth of cut.
