Makita's 40V Cordless Mixer

This Q1, Makita have released their first ever cordless paddle mixer on their 40V XGT platform.

XGT is Makita's next generation technology that provides more power and more possibilities for the most demanding of tasks.

Here's what you need to know...

Its powerful brushless motor combined with the use of XGT batteries makes it capable of handling high viscosity materials such as plaster, concrete and mortar. And better so, it will do so comfortably, thanks to its mechanical 2-step (high/low speed) speed change and a dial (5-step) speed change which enable fine adjustment of the rotation speed according to various materials. You can utilise the different speed modes to suit the job at hand.

High speed mode

  • Rotation speed: 0 to 920min-1
  • Speedy handling of medium-viscosity materials such as mortar and paint.

Low speed mode

  • Rotation speed: 0 to 500min-1
  • Powerful handling of high load materials such as concrete.

Approximately 20% faster work speed compared to Makita's AC machine

This model provides even more power and greater efficiency than their AC model (20% faster working speed to be precise).

You can even attach 2 paddle blades onto the one shaft. This allows for more efficient and even mixing, especially in deeper buckets.

IP56 Rated against dust and water

Use it on rough job sites and in bad weather conditions. It is dustproof and waterproof protected to IP56.

It comes with a battery cover to protect against the elements. However, please note that an additional battery cover is required for Makita's high capacity 5.0Ah and 8.0Ah 40V XGT batteries; part number A-75334. This accessory can be purchased seperately and is required should you wish to use batteries with these capacities.

The double handle and easy-to-grip grip shape stabilize your posture during work and reduces fatigue and strain during heavy load work.

Other features:

  • Maximum blade diameter is 240mm
  • Equipped with a high power brushless motor
  • Rotation speed can be finely adjusted according to the material
  • Uses a screw-in type shaft
  • Soft start
  • Lock on/off function
  • Restart prevention function
